60th Annual San Antonio Folk Dance Festival

March 15 - March 18

The San Antonio Folk Dance Festival (SAFDF) celebrates dancing, music, costumes, and friendship of cultures from all over the world. This year is extra-special — it marks SAFDF’s 60th anniversary. Join us for an extended, weeklong, celebration!

Jaap Leegwater (Bulgarian dances), Sonia Dion and Cristian Florescu (Romanian dances), and Campbell Miller (Social and American Vintage dances) will be on hand to teach this year.

In addition to all the beloved SAFDF traditions, we are proud to offer you:

  • An entire extra day of dance workshops
  • Partnership with Set For Spring, the well-known English country dance workshop that is a beautiful tradition in its own right (sponsored by IFCC)
  • A Hawaiian luau the day before the festival
  • A special workshop, preceding the festival, featuring dances from the Canary Islands (sponsored by IFCC)
  • Two concerts of folk dance performances
  • Live international dance music by Tom Pixton and his band
