TIFD is delighted to announce the teachers for this year’s Texas Camp: Mihai David (Romanian dances) and Campbell Miller (Social and Vintage dances).
Mihai David has devoted himself to teaching Romanian folk dance and has introduced many of the most popular Romanian dances being done in the United States. His teaching tours have taken him throughout the western hemisphere, the Orient, and Australia.
Campbell Miller first fell in love with social dance at Stanford University, where she
performed in several vintage dance groups. She is working to energize the dance community with new ideas and bring together dancers with different backgrounds.

Thank you to everyone who completed a survey at Texas Camp 2014. This survey is vital to keeping Texas Camp healthy, thriving, and serving its attendees. The TIFD board and Texas Camp chairs scrutinize the results of the survey every year. We use its results to keep what was good and improve what was not good.
The results leave no doubt that Texas Camp 2014 was a huge success. They also showed that your 2013 survey responses really did shape the 2014 Camp, to great results.
This time we collected 66 responses, corresponding to a response rate of 50% (up from 42% last year). View the tabulated responses (PDF) to the structured questions here. (The free-response comments are not published to preserve anonymity.)
