EVENING PARTIES
Nightly parties include both live and recorded music. Live music is provided by the Camp Band, other local bands, and our guest musician. Recorded music is by request! Request lists available during the parties.
Party themes and costumes are a long standing tradition at Texas Camp. Join the fun!
Thursday: Where the Wild Things Are!!
It’s time to let your imagination and inner child go wild! Be inspired by Maurice Sendak’s book or other stories. Come as your favorite animal, monster, faerie,elf, magical being, wild folk, etc. What is the wildest thing you’ve ever done, or would like to do??!
Friday Night: Travels on the Orient Express!!
Dress as your favorite character from books and movies about the Orient Express, as train personnel, or come in traditional costumes from countries that these trains travel through. And a special note:Â One of those countries is TURKEY!! Â All Aboard!
Saturday Night: Texas Camp 75th Anniversary Ball – Dancing Queens and Kings!
Inspired by the famous Swedish band ABBA’s hit song, Dancing Queen, we encourage you to dress up as Dancing Queens, Dancing Kings, Swedish Royalty, any Folk Dance Royalty or costume, or even King Kong, Queen Elizabeth, or whatever your imagination can come up with. This 75th Anniversary Ball (Diamond Jubilee) will be the crowning glory of our Camp!!
